Oil prices are rising to record levels and the dollar is hurting. What does this mean for Vermont, the U.S., and the rest of the world?On Monday March 3, 2008 the price per barrel of oil surpassed the 1980 record. The price set in April 1980 was $39.50/barrel, equaling $103.76/barrel in today's money after inflation adjustments. The highest trade on March 3rd was $103.95/barrel - $0.19 higher than the 1980 record. Even more, since the beginning of the month the price per barrel has been tagged at more than $110 - a new record price. Vermonters voting on Town Meeting day (March 4, 2008) already expressed concern for rising fuel prices and other transportation related costs. Nevertheless, Global oil consumption is still on the rise and expected to continue to rise by 1.4 million barrels a day for the next year. [Sources: New York Times & Times Argus]

Hi, i think the best candidate this coming election is someone can solve or let the down the price of gasoline. Remember this is the main conflect as of today's problem.Why most of the people having hard for living.
We minimized being gready,remember we are all human being both die,,,nobody can stay in this World,so why do we not think it? Gas arround united states why do we depend on other country instead of U.S.A is the model country.God give us all of His creation free..then why we don't think about it...If God make the water blood and if God will not give air to breath,,,think about it? There are some of the people from oversease married to american people and after they come here they file divorce and the goverment give them more free education than US citizens?How horrable is that idea? God still give us chance to think before He punish all of us. I hope we just think it not mad.
The true President candidate for November 2012,is the one that can really care for the people.Know how to put back down th gas price into a $1 per galloon.So we have to really pray.And God will revail who is he or she?Start praying now if possible.
